About TechDevs
Practical software and free tech skills
TechDevs is a blog and learning hub for software development — practical guides, free interactive courses, and browser-based tools for typing and programming. Everything here is written from real experience using the tools and languages we teach.
What you'll find here
- The blog — hands-on tutorials and honest guides about programming, software, and tech skills. Every article is tested before it's published.
- Free programming courses — starting with a full PHP OOP course (20 chapters with runnable code), with Python, JavaScript and SQL on the way.
- Free tools — a typing tutor with 10 guided lessons, a code playground supporting 8 languages, and games to build real skills.
Who runs it
TechDevs is run by Godfrey Mwale, a software developer based in Lusaka, Zambia. I've been building software for over a decade — web apps, mobile apps, desktop systems and everything in between. This site is where I write about what I've learned and share free tools that I wish existed when I was starting out.
Custom software
Beyond the blog and free tools, I also take custom software projects — from simple company websites to complete institutional systems like student information systems and POS solutions. If you need something built, get in touch.
Our promise
No pirated software, no copied content, no inflated claims. If we sell it, we built it and we support it. If we recommend it, we've used it. The free tools will stay free.
